Sashes stuck with layers of old paint and the mortice& tenon joint on the end of the middle sash rail is coming apart.
These are common problems, easily dealt with once the sashes have been removed from the frames and fixed to our portable workbenches. Removing old putty, replacing panes, priming and re-puttying is also far better done on the bench, out of the rain
