I’m Andy Hamilton. I started the business in 1985, beginning with general carpentry and quickly moving onto making and fitting windows for old houses, many of them Listed or in Conservation Areas.

I quickly realised that even sash windows in an advanced state of dilapidation were recoverable and began to switch from making replacement windows to restoring them nearly thirty years ago. Sash window restorations now makes up sashwindowstlc’s entire workload.

Lewis Willey joined me at the end of 2015 and not only learned the trade rapidly, he brought his own ideas and skills to the business.
